Patients want to remain in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible, and Charter Home Health wants to make this possible. Our compassionate caregivers can provide limited transportation to clients for doctor appointments, the local pharmacy, grocery shopping, and other essential tasks. Our caregivers can use their own vehicles, or the client’s vehicle. Transportation needs and preferences of patients are assessed at the outset of care as part of building individual care plans, and are taken into consideration in the pricing of care. We perform background checks to ensure our caregivers have a valid license, registration, insurance, and that their driving records are clean ensuring the safety of our clients.
Uber Health
For private pay patients interested in using a ride-share service, we partner with Uber Health to provide supplemental transportation where this is feasible. Our coordination team can facilitate the rides where there is a prior arrangement including the agreement of the patient to incur the additional cost of this service.
